Synergy's Management Team

Karen Pordum, the CEO of Synergy, was a pioneer in the provision of temporary legal staffing for corporate legal departments and law firms, with years of experience as a former senior executive in two of the nation's largest legal staffing providers. Since purchasing Synergy in 2007, she has spearheaded its growth to a $50M company with locations throughout the US and UK, as well as coordinating project staffing in other international locations.

 

Ms. Pordum is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School and practiced commercial litigation with two large New York law firms, Thatcher Profitt & Wood and Ropes & Gary. She was also Chief Marketing Officer for AmLaw 100 firm Quinn Emanuel.

Maria Diaz, COO

Maria Diaz, the COO of Synergy has been with the company since 2004. Throughout her career, Maria has worked with organizations across a wide range of industries. No matter which hat she's wearing, her goal is simple - to empower the company to differentiate themselves and drive measurable results through game-changing content.

Maria is originally from New York and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.  She is a member of the American Payroll Association and the Society for Human Resource Management.

Krissy Loas, Director

Krissy Loas is the Placement Director of Synergy. Prior to joining Synergy, Krissy practiced as a family law attorney and also spent considerable time working on various document review projects in the Chicago market, thus gaining first-hand knowledge on how the legal staffing industry operates.

Krissy is originally from Rock Island, Illinois, and obtained a JD and MS in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University and a BS in Psychology from the University of Illinois. When she is not working she enjoys playing recreational sports, watching sports, and traveling to warm destinations.
